DFusion I always hate picking the first track of an album as my favorite, but goddamn, just LISTEN to it! This is such a fantastic album. It's one of those works that if people would just open their mind and get past the black metal aspect, almost everyone that appreciates beauty in art would love. And if you love great atmospheric BM like I do, it's doubly good. Favorite track: Myndhöggvari lífsins og dauðans.

Heklugjá is the climax of Volcanic Black Metal: A fiery trip amidst igneous stone and lava gazed in awe unto the imperious and majestic giant of fire: Hekla; gathering the triumphant momentum and the oddness of the Nordic BM lore crafted in epic chants of vehemence towards the Nature. Thus culminating an ode of ecstasy and passion with the invocation of the victorious return of the elements of nature, resilient in the face of the misfortune of mankind decay and its odious utopia.
